More about me
Hi, I’m Lisa…
I’m a Transformational Coach, a Traveler, a Writer, and a Creative. Exploring our world has been a passion for my entire life. I cannot remember a time when I was not on the move. (Well, except for during Coronavirus ;).
I took my first airplane ride at 18 months. My family came from Chicago, but we relocated every two to three years growing up. So that’s a total of six US states we called home. Since then I’ve lived in five foreign countries (Slovakia, Hungary, Canada, Korea and the UAE) and speak four languages. (Five if you count Texan!)
Over the years, I’ve worked at the US Agency for International Development at the embassy in Bratislava, Slovakia. I climbed the ladder from clerk to Home & Garden editor at a South Texas newspaper. I was a freelance editor for Fodor’s guidebooks. And for 15 years I traveled the globe for Lonely Planet, co-authoring more than forty guidebooks about the places I love most in the world. I adored every minute of it. And, eventually, writing guidebooks started to feel a bit “been-there, done-that”.
Travel writing was hard a career choice to leave! But I knew deep in my soul that it was time for me to start helping others explore their inner worlds as much as our outer one. Six years ago, I honored that call. I followed my intuition to my initial life coach training with the Martha Beck Institute (now Wayfinders) and I have recently received certification from Darla LeDoux’s Sourced Leader transformational one-on-one coaching program as well.
The latest addition to to my resume is that of “Creative.” After my mom died suddenly a few years back, I found how healing art and painting were. I now use creativity among the healing modalities available to assist my clients in moving and shifting energy, in raising their vibration. I feel passionately about helping sensitive souls live their most expansive life. I dream of a world where everyone feels safe to live the fullest expression of their True Self. That’s why I help humans stop struggling from their small self and start living in the flow that is available through Oneness. When we are healed, we are not healed alone. Our planet needs you to free yourself so you can help free others!
